Time for the last music beat making contest of 2012!
5 Day Beat Competition: Produce an original instrumental beat using ONLY the sounds provided in the FREE SOUNDS PACK!
The Challenge: We’ve provided a free sounds pack containing 4 folders of sounds. Your job is to make a killer instrumental beat using only the free sounds provided. One caveat: YOU MUST USE AT LEAST ONE SOUND FROM EACH OF THE FOLDERS PROVIDED.
TO WIN: The most exciting, innovative, well produced, well mixed banger will win!
NOTE: The 4 folders include 2 loop folders and 2 one shot sound folders. The FREE LOOPS are provided in Acidized WAV format, and the one shots are provided in WAV file format.
RULES & REQUIREMENTS:
- You may use ONLY sounds provided in the FREE SOUNDS PACK below.
- No additional sounds can be used to create your instrumental beat (although you are allowed to include your producer name as a vocal drop).
- You MUST USE AT LEAST ONE SOUND from each of the 4 free sounds folders included in the free sounds pack. The four folders are: 1) Rock Da Trap Acid Loops, 2) Dubstep Monster 2 Acid Loops 3) Bills and Bankrolls One Shots, and 4) Dubstep Muzik Remix One Shots.
- You beat must not exceed 2:30 in total length.
- You beat can be in any popular or urban style you want.
- You can manipulate these sounds in any way you choose.
- You must upload your beats by Wednesday, December 19th 11:59PM PST to our Soundcloud page (link to upload below).
- Only one entry per producer or production team.
What the Judges will looking for:
- Innovative use of the sounds.
- Strong musical arrangement. No stagnation!
- Well balanced mix.
- Swagger in the beat!
- Creative but still radio or mixtape friendly!
The winning music producer will receive:
- $100 in FREE P5Audio Sounds!
- A Blog Post about the Winning Music Producer on the P5Audio Blog.
Will announce up to 3 runners up who will receive a free copy of their choice from one of the featured products in the free sounds pack.

How to Enter:
1) Download the FREE SOUNDS PACK HERE
2) Create your instrumental beat.
3) Upload your beat as an MP3 to our Soundcloud drop box below by Wednesday December 19th, 2012, 11:59PM PST!
Send us your sounds
4) Make sure you include both your name and track name as the title of your beat. Examples: “P5audio Beat_your name” .
5) Tune in here at our Blog on December 24th for the WINNER! In the mean time, check out the entries on our soundcloud page! Feel free to comment on the entries!
6) We will have some runners up for this challenge! Yes, there will be prizes!

For those of you who haven’t heard of our Flash Beat Contests: P5audio flash beat contests are short, simple, “mini” beat competitions that can last anywhere from 1 to 7 days. It is designed mainly to help music producers develop music production chops in a positive community environment, while giving participating music producers the chance to win FREE sounds, publicity and other great prizes.

Just wanted to drop a line and thank P5 for hosting these competitions. I feel like they push me to be a better producer. And I have to agree with Robert and G Lee, best samples provided yet. They allowed for a variety of styles from the contestants. Some really hot tracks on this one. Any constructive feedback on our entries from the judges would be great. Happy Holidays everyone.
