4 Day Beat Competition : Produce an epic build for your Pop or Dance beat using sounds from the Starship Pop Antems Loop Sets!
The Challenge: Using ONLY the sounds in the FREE SOUNDS PACK provided below, produce a pop / electro / urban / house / dance beat that begins with an epic dance style build. Your beat MUST begin with an epic build that is at least 16 bars long. Whoever has the most exciting epic intro build combined with the hottest dance beat WINS!!!
RULES & REQUIREMENTS:
- Contestants are limited to using ONLY the sounds provided in the FREE SOUNDS PACK (download link provided below).
- Contestants do NOT have to use every sound provided. NO ADDITIONAL SOUNDS can used in this contest. YOU CAN chop, process, re-sample and get as creative as you want with the sounds provided!
- Your beat MUST begin with an epic style dance build that lasts at least 16 bars. What do we mean by examples of an “epic build”? Check out the Youtube videos below!
- You have to make create an epic introduction followed by a full original dance instrumental beat using only the FREE SOUNDS provided below.
- No more than two entries per person.
- Beats can be no longer than 2:30.
- You must upload your beats by Tuesday, June 26th 11:59PM PST to our soundcloud page (link to upload below).
What the Judges will looking for:
- MOST IMPORTANT: Exciting creating gut-wrenching epic dance style intro build!
- Modern floor pounding dance beat production!
- Creative and original use of the sounds provided.
- Strong and creative re-mixing skills.
- Strong musicianship and composition.
The samples and music loops provided in the free sounds pack are from our Starship Pop Loop Sets
The winning music producer will receive:
- $100 in FREE P5Audio Sounds!
- A Blog Post about the Winning Music Producer on the P5Audio Blog

How to Enter:
1) Download the FREE SOUNDS HERE
2) Create your instrumental beat.
3) Upload your Beat(s) to our Soundcloud Drop Box below by Tuesday June 26th, 2012, 11:59PM PST!
Send us your sounds
4) Make sure you include your name track name of each of your beat. Examples: “starship_your name” .
5) Tune in here at our Blog on Friday June 29th for the WINNER! In the mean time, check out the entries on our soundcloud page! Feel free to comment on the entries!
