Flash Beat Contest Dubstep Samples Challenge!!!
5 Day Beat Competition : Produce One Dubstep and One Non-Dubstep Beat!
The Challenge: Make a one Dubstep beat AND one beat in the genre of your choice, using both the sounds provided and any additional sounds of your choice. REQUIREMENT: You have to use ALL of the WAV sounds provided in the free sounds pack in BOTH beats. We have also included the format files for the following samplers: NN-XT, HALion, Exs-24, Battery, Kontakt and Sampletank to trigger these samples for your convenience, but you DO NOT have to use these format files if you do not need them. You may use additional sounds as well.
We will be announcing two winners for this challenge, one in the Dubstep category, and one in the non-Dubstep category.
The dubstep samples provided in the free sounds pack are from our new Dubstep Monster Construction Kits released yesterday.
The two winning beats will win:
- $100 in FREE P5Audio Sounds!
- A Blog Post about the Winning Music Producer on the P5Audio Blog
- Followers on Twitter and Facebook will get a bonus prize.
Contest Rules:
- MAKE TWO INSTRUMENTAL BEATS, one Dubstep and one NON-Dubstep. The NON-Dubstep instrumental you create can be in any music style you choose.
- You MUST use ALL of the sounds provided in the FREE SOUNDS PACK below, in each of your beats .
- You can use any other sounds you wish to make your beats.
- Entries can be NO LONGER THAN 2:00.
- You must submit at least one Dubstep style beat AND one NON-Dubstep style instrumental.
- You must upload your beats by Tuesday Night, April 17th 11:59PM PST to our soundcloud page.
What the Judges are looking for:
- Originality, musicality, innovation, strong modern production sound.
- Strong arrangement and composition!
- Modern hard hitting mix!
How to Enter:
1) Download the FREE SOUNDS HERE
2) Create one Dubstep and one non-Dubstep beat.
3) Upload your Beat(s) to our Soundcloud Drop Box below by Tuesday April 17th, 2012, 11:59PM PST!
Make sure you include your name and genre type in the track name of each of your beat. Examples: “dubstep_your name” or “pop_your name.”
5) Tune in here at our Blog on Friday April 27th for the WINNER! In the mean time, check out the entries on our soundcloud page! Feel free to comment on the entries!

For those of you who haven’t heard of our Flash Beat Contests: P5audio flash beat contests are short, simple, “mini” beat competitions that can last anywhere from 1 to 7 days. It is designed mainly to help music producers develop music production chops in a positive community environment, while giving participating music producers the chance to win FREE sounds, publicity and other great prizes.
