Rhodes Beat Contest winner announced at p5audio!

Welcome music producers!  Time to announce the winner of the latest p5audio flash beat contest.  It’s been a rhodes whirlwind at p5audio this week.  We were in a hurry to get this competition done in time for the launch of our Live Maybach Rhodes Loops and Chops (hopefully released today), so we began, ran, judged and finished this flash beat contest in one week.  Your challenge was to create a Maybach inspired beat using the FREE rhodes samples provided as the main focus of your beat.    The winner plus a runner up is going to be featured in the product demo for the Rhodes!

The rules:

This beat competition was free to enter.  P5Audio provided a zip file with free sounds from the Live Maybach Rhodes Loops and Chops.  music producers had to create a beat using the rhodes loops provided as the main base of a Maybach inspired beat.  They could use any additional sounds they wish.  Producers could enter up to 3 times for this one, and the beat had to be less than two minutes.

- Great drum programming.
- Nice use of the rhodes sample.
- Very stylish beat.  It’s like Drake meets Maybach.
- Really showcased the darker side of the Maybach style.
