Happy Holidays Music Producers!  Today is the day we announce the winner of the Xmas Flash Beat Contest!  Thank you as always for entering and bringing some heat to this December!  This was a fun contest and we had 36 entries!    After listening to 36 excellent remixes of ‘Carol of the Bells,’ you can imagine the Xmas spirit floating around the studios at P5audio!  We hope you will listen and share in some Holiday Fire!

The rules:

This beat competition (as always with p5) was free to enter.  Our very own David Whiteside arranged and orchestrated Carol of the Bells and provided the separates for you to use in any way you choose as the foundation for this beat.  Music Producers were also free to use any other sounds in their library.  The beat could be any genre or style as long as Carol of the Bells was featured in some way.   We gave you a full seven days to create this beat.

AND NOW FOR THE WINNER!!!!!

Brad Tipsword of B Transformed Productions

Winning Track name: God Rest Ye Bells

Why we chose this track…

  • Great chopping of the samples.
  • Sick Rock / Dubstep / Hip Hop vibe.
  • Infectious Wobbly Bass line.
  • Loved the added phrase from ‘God Rest Yer Merry Gentlmen.’  Dope!!!
  • Track was constantly interesting.  Nice transition elements.
  • Hard hitting drums.
  • Over-all excellent musicianship.
