RSSLast Sunday co-founder of P5Audio.com David Whiteside participated in a panel dissucsion on sound manipulation techniques, music business strategies and mixing techniques at the Dynamic Producer conference in Los Angeles. Dynamic Producer is an organization devoted to giving instruction and opportunities to up and coming music producers.
David shared the panel with Bryan Armstead (engineer and sound designer for DJ Khalil), among other engineers and music producers.
P5audio hooked up audience members with free sounds.
One of the main things said by the professionals doing the panels was that using stock sounds from Reason, Fruity Loops, Garage Band etc… is the kiss of death to the marketability of your beats.
Panel topics included the importance of sound manipulation exploration, the vital importance of using the best sounds possible, and latest current sounds.

Hey Saint Joe, There was video, but I’m not sure if it’s avaliable. We’re going to check into it, and post it if possible. They are extremely informative. We’ve made some good contacts there as well.
@Church- No doubt man… Go to their site and see if there is an event near your home. They are in several cities a year. We have only been to the L.A. one. It’s worth the money…
