Callers will have the chance to cast their vote to decide what track they think is the hottest among the winner and top 9 finalists. We are pleased to welcome back FEATURED GUEST JUDGE: Hassahn Phenomenon, host of the Internet Radio Show The Cypher Lounge!
Rules for this competition:
1) You must piece together a vocal hook using the FREE Radio Ready Female Vocal samples provided by P5audio (link to download the vocal samples is provided below). You may create any pattern you wish with these vocal samples. Judging will be based on how creatively the samples are used, along with how well the overall vocal hook is pieced together musically. The sounds provided are in 24 bit WAV format. Program files for the major software samplers INCLUDING IK Multimedia SAMPLETANK, have also been provided.
2) Underneath the vocal hook you create, you must produce an original beat using any sounds you wish. The beat you create has to be 100% original. You can use any sounds or samples you wish to create your beat.
3) The final track you upload to us must be an Mp3 stereo mix featuring your pieced together vocal hook over your original beat.
4) Your track must not exceed 2 minutes in length.
5) Entering the YouTube video portion of this challenge is NOT a requirement, and will have no bearing on the judging for the 1st place or listener’s choice prizes.
6) Only one track submission allowed per contestant.

How to Enter:
1) Download the FREE SOUNDS from the link below.
2) Once your track is finished, bounce that beat down into an MP3.
3) Fill out the form by clicking the “Enter the Competition” link below.
4) Attach the mp3 to the “Enter the Competition” form.
5) Submit the form before the deadline May 7th, 2010.
6) Check back on May 28th to see the WINNERS!

Definitely will give you some feedback after we do the judging. We actually don’t listen to any of the tracks until the competition is closed, and even then we keep it blind so we don’t know who produced what. Once the judges pick their favorites, then we match the beat numbers to the producers. But definitely after the competition closes remind me to get back at you about your beat specifically. Peace!
